Bandarlampung (Antara Bali) - Whirlwind hit West Lampung District, Lampung Province on Tuesday afternoon and destroyed a cellular phone counter building, a Regional Disaster Management Agency official has said.
Such natural disaster left material losses worth 15 million rupiah, but there was no report about fatality, head of district Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), H Okmal said here on Tuesday.
The damaged building belongs to Nyamin in Air Hitam sub-district, he said, adding that a team will identify the damage and hand assistance on Wednesday (April 3).
West Lampung district is one of areas in Lampung province which is prone to natural disasters such as earth quake, flood and landslide as well as tsunami threat. (*/DWA)
