In addition, 36-year-old Okori and 26-year-old Jumi Yemita, an Indonesian female suspected to be a courier, were also detained, Chief of the North Jakarta Police Resort Senior Commissioner Susetio Cahyadi said here on Monday.
The police suspected that Okori had frequently sent drugs by sea through different courier companies.
The drug trafficking activity was discovered when Yemita was going to collect the meth from the warehouse in Pluit Penjaringan in North Jakarta.
The police confiscated 82 women's bags containing 12 kilograms of top quality meth from her.
Furthermore, Yemita told the officers that she was collecting the drugs on the orders of Okori.
The Nigerian citizen paid her Rp2 million to Rp5 million for each shipping.
Okori and Yemita could face death penalty in line with the existing laws on drug crimes in Indonesia. (WDY)
