Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is due to arrive here on Wednesday for a two-day visit.
The visit would open an opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Marty said here on Monday.
The visit at the start of the year from a president of a major country in Latin America is important, he added.
He said both Argentina and Indonesia are members of the G-20 and both have important economic strength globally especially in trade and investment.
Marty also said about plan of the new Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to visit the country two on January 18.
"It is noteworthy that strategic relations between Japan and Indonesia was first launched in 2007 when Abe was the prime minister," he said.(*/DWA)
