Kuta, Bali (Antara Bali) - Indonesia and Sweden are holding a two-day
discussion in Kuta, Bali, from Thursday to Friday, to explore
cooperation in the field of renewable energy, according to Energy
Minister Sudirman Said.
While opening the discussion on Thursday, the energy and mineral
resources minister noted that cooperation in the field of renewable
energy between the two countries has immense significance as they have
potential sources of energy and technology.
"Sweden does not have fossil resources and reserves of oil and gas,
but with its technological innovations, the country can provide
electricity, which is more than half of what Indonesia generates,"
Sudirman remarked here on Thursday.
He noted that during the two-day meeting, the countries will
discuss cooperation through government-to-government and
business-to-business schemes.
"Sweden has experience in renewable energy, so we want to learn from the country," the energy minister added. (WDY)
