Bogor (Antara Bali) - The radical movement of the Islamic State of Iraq
and Syria (ISIS) has no place in Indonesia, Military Chief General
Moeldoko has stated.
In a written statement read out by Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base
Commander Vice Marshal Dedy Permadi during a flag-hoisting ceremony here
on Friday, Moeldoko said the Indonesia and the National Defense Forces
(TNI) outrightly reject the presence of ISIS in the country.
"All TNI soldiers and civil servants across the country should be
constantly alert to all the movement that will lead to the recruitment
ISIS members in Indonesia," the military chief noted.
Drug abuse was also a concern, and therefore Moeldoko called on all
TNI personnel and soldiers, as well as civil servants, to protect
themselves and their families from drug-related crimes.
"It would be naive, vile and despicable if military personnel,
civil servants, and their families are involved in the drug trade,"
Moeldoko said. (WDY)
