Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The United States (US), the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) have joined as new members of the Bali Regional Ministerial Conference (BRMC), known as Bali Process.
The new members were officially accepted in Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM) of Bali Process in Bali Province on Monday, the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement here on Tuesday.
The SOM was co-chaired by the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry's Director General for Multilateral Affairs Ambassador Hasan Kleib and Australia's Ambassador for People Smuggling Issues Craig Chittick.
"During the SOM, a number of countries, including Indonesia, and several international organizations reported about activities that they had implemented during the previous year," Kleib said.
Indonesia reported that the country hosted Technical Experts Workshop on Combating Trafficking in Persons - a Coordinated Response in May 2012. (IGT)
