Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Executive Director of UN Women Michelle Bachelet will conduct her first official visit to Indonesia, from 3-5 December 2012, the United Nations Information Center said in a press statement here, Saturday.
Bachelet will be a keynote speaker on 4 December at the 4th Ministerial Conference on Women's Role in the Development of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Member States, at the invitation of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
Her program from 3-5 December includes meetings with several Indonesian officials, civil society leaders and Islamic scholars, and a public lecture. A press conference is planned during the second day of her visit.
UN Women is the UN entity established in 2010 to lead, support and coordinate work on gender equality and the empowerment of women. (*/T007)
