Bakauheni (Antara Bali) - The Search and Rescue Team said 43 more passengers of the MV Bahuga Jaya which sank in the Sunda Strait last week are still missing and feared dead.
The rescue team had received reports from 26 people about missing relatives totaling 43 people all passengers of the ill-fated ferry, Saidar R. Jaya, the team coordinator said here on Monday.
Saidar said divers among the rescue team will continue searching Monday for more bodies believed to be trapped inside the vessel in the sea bed.
The ferry with 213 registered passengers on board on the way from Merak in Banten to Bakauheni of Lampung sank on Wednesday last week after a collision with a cargo ship.
Eight passengers died and around 200 other passengers were rescued after the incident.(IGT/T007)
