Jakarta (Antara Bali) - At least 75 Australian mining companies participated in ASEAN mining exhibition and conference, entitled "ozmine2012", in Jakarta on April 17 and April 18 2012.
"This is the largest mining event in Asia. The participants can receive and share information about mining regulations, new developments in mining, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and much more," Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Greg Moriarty, said here on Tuesday.
The theme for the "ozmine2012" conference is "Sustainable and Responsible Mining: ASEAN and Australia in Synergy". He said this event is not only about Australia and Indonesia, but also about mining in ASEAN member countries.
"Australian companies have made long-term investments in Indonesia. We are committed to sustainable and responsible mining practices," he added.
In conferences, he added, participants can discuss new mining regulations, green mining developments, sustainable mining programs, and innovations in mining.(IGT/T007)
