Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The ongoing state visit of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to help increase bilateral trade in the oil palm and petroleum fields, Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa said here, Friday.
"The two nations will use the opportunity because there is plenty of trade potential, particularly in bilateral investment, that could be explored by both countries," Marty said.
Officials noted that Indonesia and Kazakhstan could establish mutual cooperation based upon their natural resources and needs.
"On the one hand, Indonesia can invest in oil fields in Kazakhstan. And on the other hand, Kazakhstan very much needs oil palm from Indonesia," he said.
In addition to bilateral issues, the two leaders will also discuss regional issues.(IGT)
