Travers is a female blogger who won the Runner Up title at Lifelines Rising Woman of Spirit 2015 and the Best International Personal Finance Blog 2012 and 2013, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism and received by Antara here on Monday.
Travers said the most favorite holiday destination in the world is Indonesia. The countrys beautiful nature and cultural arts are very fascinating, she said.
In March, she had an opportunity to witness the total solar eclipse in Kilo Lima Beach, Central Sulawesi province, swam amid the exotic coral reefs, accompanied by thousands of beautiful colorful fish.
"It was absolutely fantastic," the finalists of the Young Australian of the Year 2015 said.
She also told audiences that she swam in Salodik waterfall, South Sulawesi province, had a long trip from Luwuk to Toraja, and watched the sunset in Pare Pare.
The natural beauty and hospitality of the Indonesian people are difficult to find in other countries, Travers said.
"There are many attractive places in Indonesia besides Bali. Indonesia is a very beautiful country, and the people are very friendly. I cannot wait to go back exploring the other beautiful places in Indonesia," she said.
For Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, Travers is one endorser, who has a strong influence, thanks to her work, and has a lot of followers on social media.
"Those endorsing a destination largely determine the effectiveness of communication. Their influences and persuasive powers are very strong," the minister said.
Artists, leaders and famous people, who have a lot of followers, are strong endorsers, he added.
Some international celebrities have visited Indonesia and made the country more well-known in the world.
Recently, Leonardo Di Caprio alongside Adrien Brody and Fisher Stevens moved to orang-utan habitats in Mount Leuser National Park in Aceh, making Aceh the talk of the world.
Julia Roberts "falling in love" in Ubud, Bali while filming "Eat, Pray, Love" made Ubud increasingly acquire global prestige, thanks to the artists and the movie.
Princess Diana when she was alive, Prince Charles, Mick Jagger and Maria Sharapova were stunned by the beauty of Moyo Island, West Nusa Tenggara province.
David Beckham, Victoria Beckham and Richard Gere were fascinated by the Borobudur Temple in Central Java.
Jennifer Lopez was enchanted with the panoramic views of the Kerta Gangga waterfall, in North Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara), while Gwyneth Paltrow was left dazzled by Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara) and Bali.
"They are the most effective people to endorse and thus promote Wonderful Indonesia to the world," Arief Yahya said.(WDY)
