Bandarlampung (Antara Bali) - An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook West Manggarai in East Nusa Tenggara province on Thursday, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The epicenter of the quake which struck at 07.34 Western Indonesian Time was located 57 km southwest of West Manggarai at a depth of 10 km, Yuharman, head of the Kotabumi geophysics station in Lampung province, said quoting a BMKG report.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 is considered moderate and capable of causing considerable damage on land. (*/DWA)
