Nusa Dua (Antara Bali) - US President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in Bali on October 5 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit from October 6 to 8, according to a regional military official.
"President Obama is scheduled to arrive in Bali on October 5 although it could still change," Lt. Col. Kadek Aray, the 9th Military Region Command`s deputy spokesman revealed on Tuesday.
He added that Indonesian military personnel had already conducted an intensive coordination with security officials from the U.S. in connection with the arrival of the U.S. President.
He pointed out that no special security arrangements had been made by the Indonesian military (TNI) in connection with President Obama`s arrival, and that the security would be imparted based on standard operating procedures.
"There are no special measures. We will carry out standard operating procedures," Aray stated. (M038)
