Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono inaugurated a number of projects of state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina on Thursday.
The inauguration of the projects, worth a total of US$15.8 billion, started aboard the KRI Makasar warship, while it was sailing towards the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in West Java.
The floating storage facility was one of the projects inaugurated by the President on Thursday.
Pertamina said in a press statement that eight projects were commissioned by the President on the day.
"Among the projects inaugurated were the Enhanced Oil Recovery projects of Pertamina EP, Pertamina Hulu Energi, Pertamina EP Cepu (worth a total of US$15 million); gas processing plants in Sungau Kenawang and Pulau Gading (US$325 million); and the NGL plant, Perta Samtan Gas (US$193 million)," it stated.
The president will also inaugurate an FSRU in West Java (worth US$93.28 million); an LPG terminal project in Tanjung Sekong, with a capacity of 10,000 MT (US$35 million); and an SPBG coco gas refueling station (US$3.7 million) to reduce fuel oil subsidies in the transportation sector. (*/DWA/T007)
