Police Officer Suspected of Being Drug Dealers Arrested

Pekanbaru (Antara Bali) - Pekanbaru's police have arrested  four army servicemen  and three police officers suspected of being members of drug trafficking syndicate in Riau.

Pekanbaru police spokesman  Sr. commissioner Adang Ginanjar said the seven suspects were arrested separately.

A civilian has also been arrested charged with being a leader of  the syndicate, Adang said here on Friday.

The suspects were also charged with recently kidnapping and torturing a police officer Joko Fabianto, he said.

Joko was abducted and beaten by the suspects as they suspected Joko knew much about the syndicate.(IGT)
