Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Bali's export earning dropped 5.65 percent year-on-year to US$283.11 million in the first seven months of the year.
Bali recorded US$300.6 million in export value in the same period last year, chief spokesman of the Bali Central Board of Statistics (BPS) I Ketut Teneng said here on Saturday.
Ketut Teneng said Bali's exports declined in volume on weak demand in its traditional markets amid global financial crisis.
European countries have been the main markets for Bali export commodities dominated by handicraft and products of small industries, he said.
Handicraft and products of small industries account for 77 percent of Bali's export commodities, with agricultural products accounting for the rest, he added.(*/T007)
