Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The value of Bali Province's exports of traditional houses was down 29.73 percent from US$1.4 million in the January - October 2013 to US$1.92 million in the same period this year.
"Bali's traditional house exports dropped in value but in volume they actually increased," Head of Bali's Regional Government Spokesman I Ketut Teneng said here on Friday.
He said that in volumes the shipment of the commodity increased significantly from 442 units in the last ten months of 2012 to 933 units in the corresponding this year.
The regional government official said that international consumers liked Bali's traditional houses very much the houses which were built with wood reflected artistic values of Bali so that demand from a number of countries continued to come. (*/DWA)
