Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - Bali earned US$489.34 million from exports in the first 11 months of 2017 or 5.54 percent larger than US$463.65 million in the same period last year.
"Small and cottage industries accounted for around 74 percent of the export earning," head of the Bali Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Adi Nugroho said here on Thursday.
Adi said the main export commodities include fish and shrimps accounting for 31.51 percent, jewelry for 15.94 percent, garments for 11.17 percent, timber products for 9.02 percent and household furniture and illumination for 5.75 percent.
He said the main countries of destination included the United States especially for garments, meat and processed fish; and Australia especially for household furniture and gypsum and cement.
Exports to Singapore were mainly wooden souvenirs, knitted goods and souvenirs from leather. (WDY)
