The dismissal was performed during a ceremony here on Tuesday, led personally by the chief of the police resort, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Parluatan Siregar, and attended by all members of the police resort.
"The dismissal is effective as of today, according to the decree, the government regulation and decision of the police ethics committee," Parluatan said.
He noted any police officer acting in violation of the law, no matter how trivial the offense, would not be tolerated.
"This must become a lesson for other members so that what first brigadier Satria has done will not recur," he noted.(IGT)
