Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Thousands of people here on Sunday watched the 33rd Bali Kite Competition in Padanggalak Sanurarea, Denpasar.
The people began to gather in the competition's venue since morning. The sky was clear and colorful against a background of thousands of kites, an ANTARA journalist observed.
Chief of the festival's organizing committee I Gusti Putu Rai Andayana said the competition which opened on Friday (July 29) would end on Sunday (July 31) afternoon with the participation of 1,080 large kites.
The competition was divided into two categories, namely best traditional kites and best creation kites. Putu added kites were flown by many groups of people.(*)
