Nusa Dua (Antaranews Bali) - Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) will continue to develop and renovate facilities ahead of the International Monetary Fund / World Bank (WB) Annual Meeting held in Nusa Dua, Bali in October 2018, Director Abdulbar M. Mansoer said.
"We hope that all facilities and infrastructures could be completed before September," He said here on Monday.
Mansoer explained that a number offacilities to be renovated include waterblow area, Peninsula Island area, a number of buildings, and access roads to Nusa Dua area.
"We are also building a new facility called `Crea` or `creative office` that will support business activities in Bali," he said.
Mansoer pointed out that the Crea area will have facilities such as lounges for Garuda Indonesia airlines, integrated bank facilities and co-working space facilities that can be rented by startup companies.
"We will also invite other SOEs to fill the Crea facility which will also be used during the IMF-World Bank meeting," he said.
According to Mansoer, the committee will also build a command center as an integrated security center to assure security of the IMF / World Bank meetings.
"The number of delegates participating in the IMF / World Bank 2018 meeting is doubled compared to that in the 2013 APEC Summit which was also held in Bali. Therefore,, we are continuously improving the security facilities, one of them by establishing a command center," he said.
Mansoer added that the security improvement among others would be done by increasing the number of surveillance cameras and security doors in international tourist areas. In addition, the identification system will also be improved.
"All of the facilities and security technologies being developed and improved are expected to finish in July," he said.
The summit of the 2018 IMF-WB meeting will take place on October 12-14, 2018. Meanwhile, side events such as discussion and business meetings will take place from October 8 to 14, 2018. (WDY)
