Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Youth and Sports affairs Minister Imam Nahrawi stated that he has not yet received FIFA`s letter which was handed by chairman of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) to the minister's office.
"The fact is that the letter is from FIFA's secretary general to the acting secretary general of PSSI, instead of to the minister. I wants (FIFA) to directly write a letter to me, and not a copy," Nahrawi said in his office here on Wednesday.
According to the minister, if he has received the letter, he will give an answer honestly and truthfully to FIFA.
"We have also sent a letter directly to FIFA before. If they'll send a letter directly to us, then we can immediate reply it," the minister remarked.
General Chairman of PSSI La Nyalla Mattalitti submitted FIFA`s letter directly to the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry (Kemenpora) here on Tuesday.
Mattalitti, who failed to meet the Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, handed the letter through assistant of organization affairs of the ministry, Dody Iswandi.
"We came here to deliver the letter FIFA sent through the PSSI to the youth and sports affairs minister. In the letter, the world football organization gave a deadline of May 29. If (the problem) is not settled by then, FIFA will impose a sanction," Mattalitti stated when asked about the content of the letter.
According to Mattalitti, (FIFA) in its letter urged the PSSI to meet with the Kemenpora in an effort to overcome pending soccer problems in the country. (WDY)
