Palu (Antara Bali) - A terrorist suspect in Poso, known as Nudin alias Bondan, has been shot and died later after shooting officers trying to arrest him here on Monday.
"He also would run over police officers forcing the police to shoot him that caused him to die," the spokesman of the Central Sulawesi regional police command, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Soemarno, said.
Nudin, who had long been monitored, was seen riding a motorbike from Kayamanya village to Jaln Pulau Irian when the clash later broke out.
He said the police tried to stop him but he even accelerated while shooting at the officers causing the police to shoot back and hit him that caused him to die.
Soemarno said Nudin was believed to have been involved in several cases of terrorism in Poso. (IGT)
