Tangerang (Antara Bali) - The National Police's Densus 88 counterterrorism unit arrested a terrorist suspect in Bintaro, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, here on Monday.
According to initial reports, Densus 88 personnel stalked the suspected terrorist, identified as J, from Ciledug in Tangerang City by motorcycle.
"We received information that a suspected terrorist has been arrested in Pondok Aren after being pursued from Ciledug," said the Chief of Tangerang Kota Police, Senior Commissioner Bambang Priyo Andogo, here on Monday.
The police, however, could not confirm the news of the suspect's arrest yet.
However, Pondok Aren chief, Police Commissioner Parmono, later confirmed the arrest.
"Yes, we have information that a man has been arrested in Pondok Aren," he said, without going into further details.(IGT)
