Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team of Indonesian Police is examining the bodies of seven suspected terrorists at Said Soekanto Polri Hospital in Kramat Jati, Jakarta.
"The examination of the dead bodies, which were delivered from West Nusa Tenggara Police Office, is still under way. However, we have not received the ante-mortem data yet," the spokesperson of Indonesian Police headquarters, Brigadier General Boy Rafli Amar, said here on Tuesday.
The DVI team is collecting data about the seven suspected terrorists, including their health records, in order to reveal their identities.
The data collection part is useful also because the bodies must be delivered to their respective families, Amar explained.
The seven suspected terrorists were shot dead in Makassar and Dompu. They were suspected to be engaged in terrorist activities in Makassar after being trained in Poso, Central Sulawesi.
"Meanwhile, the three other suspects arrested in Makassar have arrived in Jakarta and are detained in Mako Brimob (Mobile Brigadier Headquarter)," Amar said.
Anti-terrorist squad Densus 88 arrested 11 terrorism suspects over the past two days, seven of whom were killed during the encounter. (*/DWA/T007)
