Jakarta (Antara Bali) - An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale jolted southeast of Maluku on Sunday at 07.38 Western Indonesia Time.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicenter of the quake was at 4.18 degrees southern latitude and 131.21 degrees eastern longitude, or 134 km southeast of eastern part of Seram in Maluku, 184 km southwest of Fakfak, Papua, 337 km southeast of Ambon, Maluku, or 2,721 km northeast of Jakarta, at a depth of 10 km.
The earthquake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami. (*/DWA)
