Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Ministry of Transportation is offering 130 new routes in the eastern part of Indonesia to flight operators, a senior official said.
"We have arranged the new routes which will be offered to flight operators," Director General of Air Transportation Bakti S Gumay said in a press statement made available to ANTARA here on Thursday.
He said that the new routes would be offered to flight operators in an effort to open isolation in a number of regions in the eastern part of Indonesia which so far had not yet been opened.
The director general said the new routes would be opened based on the proposals by a number of flight operators which had previously conducted feasibility studies.
"We please them to select routes that we have prepared, of course after they study the market potentials that they would serve," Bakti said. (IGT/T007)
