Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - The government of Timor Leste said it wants to learn from Indonesia`s Bali provincial government on various efforts to increase the number of foreign tourist arrivals to the country.
"We want to be able to develop tourism like Bali, and learn a lot from Bali. We have a dream when could be like Bali, could bring in many tourists," Timor Leste`s consul general in Bali, Elda Ferreira said in a meeting with Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika, here on Wednesday.
The natural and cultural potentials of East Timor are expected to become a tourist attraction just like Bali, he pointed out.
In addition, cooperation between Timor Leste and Bali has much improved, Elda said.
"We will continue to work and learn about Bali as much as possible and enhance cooperation that has been established," the envoy remarked.
In the meantime, Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika welcomed the newly appointed the Timor Leste`s Consul General in Bali. (Reported by Ni Luh Rhismawati)
