Kuta (Antara Bali) - The Bali
United soccer club is ready to face its guest (rival) PS TNI in the
Indonesia Soccer Championship, better known as Torabika Soccer
Championship 2016, on Wednesday (July 27) night.
Bali United`s defensive player Hasim Kipuw on Monday expressed his
team`s readiness to face PS TNI in the match to be held at the Kapten
Diptha, Gianyar stadium.
"Although many of our colleagues have sustained injuries but we`ll
play to as optimum a level as possible against PS TNI," Hasyim Kipuw
stated.
As a factor that will help motivate the Bali United squad for the
upcoming match, Kipuw hoped the spectators will extend full support.
On July 23 (Saturday), Bali United and its rival Mitra Kukar of
East Kalimantan shared 1-1 score in the Indonesia Soccer Championship
here on Saturday evening.
In the first half, the host team conceded a goal as Mitra Kukar's
captain, Bayu Pradana, struck in the 4th minute through a hard kick.
However, in the second half, Bali United was successful in scoring a
goal through Made Adi Wirahadi after outwitting the Mitra Kukar's
goalkeeper in the 71st minute.
During the match, the referee issued three yellow cards, with two
going to Bali United players, Fahri Akbar Mahdi in the 49th minute and
Riky Fajri in the 91st minute.
The third yellow card was given to Mitra Kukar's Rodrigo in the 49th minute.
A total of 18 clubs are participating in the Indonesia Soccer Championship.
The participating clubs are Arema Cronus FC, Bali United, PS Barito
Putera, Bhayangkara Surabaya United, Madura United, Mitra Kukar FC,
Persegres Gresik, Persela Lamongan, Persib Bandung, Persija Jakarta,
Perseru Serui, Persipura Jayapura, Persiba Balikpapan, PS TNI, PSM
Makassar, Pusamania Borneo FC, Semen Padang FC and Sriwijaya FC.
The championship, which offers a cash prize of Rp3 billion, was
officially opened by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Papua
provincial city's Mandala Jayapura stadium on April 29. (WDY)
