Kuala Lumpur (Antara Bali)- Vice President M Jusuf Kalla is attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur, June 1-2.
Kalla is scheduled to deliver a speech in the opening plenary meeting before several ASEAN leaders such as Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamad Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Timor Leste Prime Minister Rui Maria Araujo, and Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung.
He will also take part in an interactive session in the meeting themed "Shaping the ASEAN Agenda for Inclusion and Growth."
The program of the forum will involve three major topics: "Driving sustainable growth and social inclusion," "Mastering the fourth industrial revolution" and "Strengthening regional relationships."
The previous WEF on East Asia were held in Indonesia in 2011 and 2015, the Philippines in 2014, Myanmar in 2013, Thailand in 2012, and Vietnam in 2010.
On the sidelines of the forum, the vice president is scheduled to hold separate meetings respectively with Prime Minister Najib, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung of Vietnam, and the Amnesty International director. (WDY)
