Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Constitutional expert Irmanputra Sidin said the Joko Widodo regime after one year in power had not yet developed a just legal certainty and implemented the law fairly.
"The government of Joko Widodo still has not yet provided just legal certainties as evident in the decisions of the minister for legal and human right affairs regarding the internal conflicts in the Golkar Party and in the United Development Party (PPP)," Irman said here on Saturday.
The two political parties are still facing plagued by internal conflict , namely protracted dual leadership.
The decision of Legal and Human Right Minister Yasonna Laoly over the Golkar leadership conflict which ruled in favor of Agung Laksono has been cancelled by the State Administrative Court (PTUN). The minister finally challenged the PTUNs verdict in the higher court which adversely ruled in favor of Aburizal Bakrie.
Irman said that the same thing also happened with Laolys decision with regard to the dual leadership conflict of PPP, between the leadership of the Djan Faridz and Romahurmuzy camps.
Apart from political conflicts, Irman also viewed that the Joko Widodo government had not yet provided a just legal guarantee with regard to the revision of laws whose deliberations were still unfinished.
On corruption elimination, the government of Joko Widodo should change its strategy, Irman said. "The President should change his strategy to give deterrent effect to corrupt people, or otherwise it will become a cause for disharmony in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) as a result of corruption elimination being only used as a battle field by the country¿s giant politics," Imran who is a constitutional expert said.
