Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Institut Francais Indonesia (IFI) holds science exhibition dubbed "Fete de la Science" (Science Party) in seven cities in Indonesia starting from September 1 to 15, a press release from the institute received by Antara here on Sunday said.
Taking the theme of Earth's Anger (La terre en colere), the Science Party exhibition is held in Institut Francais Indonesia (IFI)'s offices, schools and universities in seven cities in Indonesia namely Medan (North Sumatra province), Bandung (West Java), Yogyakarta, Malang, Jombang and Surabaya (East Java) and Makassar (South Sulawesi).
The exhibition features an interactive footage of earthquake and tsunami which have happened in the world before. In explaining about tsunami and earthquake, the exhibitors use videos and posters made in English and Bahasa Indonesia to ease off the visitors in understanding its content.
"We brought the Science Party exhibition to Indonesia to promote science research to the people," said Attache for Science and University Cooperation from french Embassy in Indonesia Joel Le Bail.
The Science Party 2014 will also feature seminars participated in by experts from universities in France and Indonesia and science-themed games held in schools in the seven cities in Indonesia. (WDY)
