Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Global Entrepreneurship Program Indonesia (GEPI) has channeled US$30,000 in fund to Wangsa Jelita Entrepreneurs group in effort to help increase the number of female entrepreneurs in the country.
"The fund is submitted in three stages," GEPI founder, Shinta Widjaja Kamdani said here on Tuesday, adding that the lending channeling program is called Angin Women Angel Fund.
According to her, the number of women as entrepreneurs in Indonesia is less than men.
"The data show the gap between entrepreneur-man and entrepreneur-women in range 30 percent in last decade," Shinta said.
In 2000 the gap was 26 percent, 2002 (36 percent), 2004 (37 percent), 2006 (38 percent), 2008 (32 percent) and 2010 (34 percent). (*/M038)
