Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The death toll from floods that swept through several parts of Jakarta since Tuesday reached 15 on Saturday evening, according to the National Disaster Mitigation Board (BNPB).
The last dead victim was identified as Eko Herdian who worked as a cleaning service officer at the UOB Building at MH Thamrin Street, Central Jakarta, Head of the BNPB Data and Information Center Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said.
The 27-year old man was found dead by an evacuating team at 03.05 p.m. on Saturday.
He said floods were still inundating several parts of the capital by Saturday evening. In Pluit, North Jakarta, the flood water reached up to 2 meters deep.
A team of BNPB officers led by the agency's chief inspected flood-hit Pluit area on Saturday as part of efforts to find a solution to the flood caused by the overflowing of Pluit dam.(IGT)
