Palu (Antara Bali) - Two persons were killed in flash flood that hit the Parigi Moutong district, Central Sulawesi province, head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency, Ramli Borman said here on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Kristina Tuwanil alis Oma Boa (68) and her 19-month-old grand daughter, Gita.
Both victims were trapped in their house when the flood inundating the house, Ramli said.
In addition, a man identified as Rasman was reported missing. The flash flood which also hit Boyantongo village, Parigi Moutong district, Central Sulawesi destroyed infrastructures among other things is Olojongi irrigation.
"The Olojongi irrigation in Parigi Selatan subdistrict is severely damaged, thus there might be no harvest to around 1,000 hectares of rice field," Ramli Borman pointed out.(IGT)
