Denpasar (Antara Bali) - A Kutuh village resident, Badung district, Bali, found the body of a foreign tourist on Thursday.
The remains of Mark Ovenden were discovered by I Wayan Suada on a footpath.
"We received reports from residents who went to the site. The victim's body had bruises on the chest, which were likely due to a blow by a blunt object," according to Denpasar Police spokesman Adjunct Commissioner Ida Bagus Made Sarjana.
He explained that police did not learn the identity of the victim at the crime scene. As a result, police did not immediately know the country of origin of the victim.
"We just found a wallet containing cash totaling 657 thousand rupiah and a Visa card. In addition, there was the vehicle registration of the motorcycle used by the victim, a Honda Vario, number DK 7624 DA in the name of Komal Wija," he said.(IGT)
