Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The foreign ministry confirmed the release of four Indonesian underage ship crew members held in Australia for immigration problems.
"The Australian Attorney General's Office has issued a press release on the release of four ship crew members on Friday local time," a press release of the Foreign Ministry received by ANTARA in Jakarta said in the small hours of Saturday.
The Foreign Ministry said they had been released because they were underage when arrested by Australian security personnel.
The decision to release has been made after the Indonesian government has forwarded pieces of evidence that the ship crew members were underage when caught entering Australian territory," he said.
In the meantime, two Indonesian crew members are still in the process of review of the Australian Attorney General's Office and had been released earlier from their detention.(IGT)
