The man hit Sistoyo on his head with a sharp knife, causing his temple to bleed. After the attack, Sistoyo had to be rushed to a hospital for treatment.
"After the court session, news reporters crowded around Sistoyo to ask questions when an unknown man approached and attacked him," said an eyewitness, Adit Prakasa, a newsman from a daily in Bandung .
The eyewitness added that he was surprised by the act. "I thought he just wanted to box him but then I noticed that Sistoyo's temple was bleeding," he said.
Bandung city police spokesperson Commissioner Endang Sri Wahyu Utami said, at the station's crime investigation unit compound, that the attacker hit Sistoyo from behind with a knife measuring around 25 centimeters in length.
As a result of being struck, Sistoyo suffered a wound one centimeter deep and eight centimeters long.(IGT)
