Jakarta (Antara Bali)- President Joko Widodo is scheduled to visit Medan, North Sumatra Province, on Thursday afternoon, to disseminate information on the tax amnesty program.
The head of state will meet businessmen to introduce the program, Bey Machmudin, head of the Presidential Secretariat, stated here, Thursday.
The president will be accompanied by Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro, Governor of Bank Indonesia Agus Martowardojo, Chairman of the Financial Services Authority Muliaman D. Hadad, and State Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno, among others.
The presidential delegation will give presentations on the tax amnesty policy to the businessmen.
On Thursday morning, President Widodo will inaugurate a terminal of the Sultan Thaha Airport in Jambi.
The airport will serve as a pilot project for the development of other small airports in the country.
Besides, the head of state will also attend a function to celebrate the 69th National Cooperatives Day to be held in the front yard of the Jambi governor's office.
On July 15, President Widodo had addressed some 2.7 thousand business leaders and regional officials, including the governor and military and police leaders in Surabaya, East Java Province.
The president has called on all Indonesians to take part and utilize the tax amnesty program.
"We want all Indonesians to take part in making the policy a success," Jokowi noted during a program to spread awareness on the tax amnesty policy in Indonesia's second-biggest city.
President Widodo said the program offers an opportunity for all to take part and contribute to the nation's development. (WDY)
