A document ushering in cooperation in these areas was signed between the two countries here on Wednesday.
Indonesia was represented by the Minister of Education Anies Baswedan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi.
Indonesian president Joko Widodo and the Serbian president Tomislav Nikoli witnessed the signing.
"Today, we are witnessing the signing of the document of cooperation for a visa-free policy for diplomatic and service passport holders, and also cooperation on education," President Joko Widodo said.
The president encouraged further cooperation and dialogue between Indonesia and Serbia.
Joko Widodo asserted that the two countries also agreed to promote people to people contact.
Both Indonesia and Serbia will have a scholarship program under the educational cooperation pact.
President Nikolo welcomed the initiatives to strengthen cooperation, friendship and solidarity with Indonesia.
"I am very pleased with the initiative to visit each others country and strengthen cooperation, friendship and solidarity with Indonesia," he said.(WDY)
