After the ceremony, a photo session was held followed by a bilateral meeting between the Indonesian and Serbian delegations and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two governments as well as a joint press conference.
On the occasion, President Widodo emphasized that he would prioritize cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment at the regional and global level.
"Bilaterally, I wish to prioritize cooperation in the field of economy, particularly trade and investment. The others areas of cooperation are education and social affairs," he stated.
President Widodo affirmed that Indonesia had raised the issues of terrorism and migration during the bilateral meeting between the two countries delegations.
The head of state added that this was the first visit of a Serbian president to Indonesia after 58 years.
During the meeting with his Serbian counterpart, President Widodo was accompanied by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, Education Minister Anies Baswedan, Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi, and Indonesian Ambassador to Serbia Harry R.J.
