Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Convention on Coffee, Tea and Chocolate 2015, which is being held in Jakarta on November 24 to 26, 2015 is expected to improve the quality and sales of local products.
An event organizer Sapta Kuntari here on Wednesday said the event is the first time which is carried out to improve the quality and sales of Indonesia's three commodities.
She said the convention is an event that brings farmers, businessmen, and the government to talk and work together related to the development of the three commodities.
"We agree to increase the quality of coffee, tea and chocolate products in Indonesia to compete with the foreign products," Kuntari said.
The convention is also expected to be a forum to forge extensive networking among coffee, tea and chocolate farmers, businesses, consumers, and investors.
Deputy Foreign Marketing of Ministry of Tourism Esthy Reko Astuty said coffee, tea and chocolate can be a tourist attraction to visit Indonesia.
"Moreover, every region in Indonesia has typical coffee, tea or chocolate respectively," she said.
The convention seeks to open people's eyes to learn and take advantage in the industry of these commodities including plantation, processing, downstream industries, as well as global trade. (WDY)
