Manokwari, Papua (Antara Bali) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has denied the issue saying that he was interfering in the affairs of president-elect Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi.
"Today I receive numerous negative messages, and I know they are also circulated to a number of circles," Yudhoyono said on his Twitter account @SBYudhoyono, monitored by Antara here on Friday.
The president noted that the massages said Yudhoyono and Democrat Party should not interfere in Jokowi's affairs in drawing up the new government.
"It means that Yudhoyono should not disturb, or interfere in Jokowi's affairs," the president remarked.
"I really do not understand what the message means, because I don't have any intention whatsoever to disturb Jokowi," Yudhoyono went on.
The head of state admitted that in his state-of-the-nation address on August 15, 2014 he said that morally as president who would end his term of office in October, would help the new president.
"I am happy to help if desired. So, it is up to the new president. There is no bad thoughts of me," the president said. (WDY)
