Jakarta Composite Index Opens Higher, Rupiah Gains

Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Jakarta composite index opened 0.29 percent higher at 5,171.55 points here on Tuesday .

The 45 most liquid stocks of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) rose 0.42 percent to the level of 885.09.

Meanwhile rupiah in inter-bank transaction in the first minutes of trading gained slightly against the US dollar to reach the level of 11,680 per US dollar from earlier level of 11,686 per dollar. (WDY)
