Sukabumi (Antara Bali) - The number of HIV/AIDS patients in Sukabumi, West Java, has increased by 17 to 671 patients since January this year, a local AIDs Commission official said.
"Last year, the number of HIV/AIDS carriers was recorded at 654 sufferers but now it has reached 671 people affected by the disease which acquires the human immunity system," Wahyu Handiyana, a local official of the National AIDS Commission (KPA), said here Friday.
He said that one of the 17 carriers was an under-five year old child. (*/DWA)
