Pandeglang (Antara Bali) - The district court in Pandeglang, Banten, sentenced a Pakistani national to six years in jail on Tuesday for trying to smuggle people to Australia.
The court also ordered the Pakistani, Saadhat Ali (49), to pay a fine of Rp500 million or spend two more months in jail.
The judges in their verdict stated that the defendant had been proven guilty of violating the immigration law.
Saadhat Ali was caught by police at Villa Ariesta in Carita, Pandeglang, Banten. (IGT)
