"Inpres No.2/2013 will protect people, particularly those from minority groups, who tend to become the victims of communal clashes and the like," the House of Representatives' Commission-III Chairman, I Gede Pasek Suardika, said here on Wednesday.
He stated that the House would also oversee the implementation of Inpres, together with the government.
Pasek noted that Inpres could serve as a solution to various problems and social conflicts that frequently occurred in the society.
Earlier, Defence Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro stated that Inpres No.2/2013 was not connected with the National Security (Kamnas) Bill. (*/DWA/IGT/T007)
