Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The anti-bomb squad (Gegana) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police checked a suspicious package at the Soekarno-Hatta international airport's cargo terminal on Friday.
"We received a report (of the suspicious package) an hour ago. The (Gegana) team is checking the package," Head of the Operations Bureau at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Snr. Comr. Chairul Nur Alamsyah said.
Chairul said the content of the package was still unknown. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police sent the bomb-defusing team to the scene after receiving a report from the airport's police.
The team is tightening security to prevent the public from coming closer to the scene.(DWA/IGT)
