Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono hoped that the House of Representatives would approve the 2013 Draft State Budget to be proposed by the government.
The 2013 Draft State Budget includes an increase in the budget for development in the regions, especially in remote areas, border areas, islands and outermost islands, said Yudhoyono here Tuesday.
"I hope the proposal can be approved by the House of Representatives and be given positive consideration by the Regional Representative Council. The increase in the budget is a form of love to the people as whole and to make development more just and evenly distributed that will minimize the gap," he said.
Yudhoyono said that now is the momentum for continuing development that creates prosperity and strong economy as well as positive growth amid the European crisis that causes economic slowdown in various countries.
The President said that with positive economic growth, the economy could be advanced and absorb workers, thereby improvig social welfare.
"Let us not waste time but continue to develop what has been achieved in various economic fields with great sacrifice and the help of God in order that they will continue to grow and create jobs so they can create employment and sufficient income," he said.(*/T007)
