Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, will be one of the speakers at the outreach meeting of the G7 summit in Japan on May 27, 2016, and will focus on issues of stability and prosperity.
"There will be two sessions at the outreach meeting. The first session will discuss issues connected to regional stability and prosperity and the President has been asked to be one of the speakers," the Indonesian Foreign Minister, Retno L.P Marsudi, said here on Tuesday.
She explained that the President will be visiting Nagoya, Japan on the invitation of the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, who will host the G7 summit.
The minister added that Indonesias participation in the G7 summit was aimed at attending the outreach meeting on the sidelines of the event.
The outreach meeting will take place on May 27 in Ice-Shima city, about 100 km from Nagoya.
The minister also informed that the second session of the outreach meeting will discuss sustainable development goals (SDGs) 2030.
According to the minister, Indonesia will also hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Abe, the President of Sri Lanka and the President of France on the sidelines of the main event.
"We have also received a courtesy call from the prefecture governor of Ice-Shima, where Nagoya city is located," the minister stated.(WDY)
